An odd little animated film, whose producers like Tim Burton have more film credits than the writer/director. Originally the writer/directors short film, he fleshed it out to full length in this very dark childrens film. Not perfect, but visually stunning.

Documentary gold: With very little money, a postal clerk and librarian managed to become two of the most prominent art collectors in the world through the 1960s and 70s. They followed two guidelines, the peice had to be affordable and fit in their one bedroom apartment.

A Christmas Tale
One hell of a setup: Familiy matriarch hosts a christmas family reunion after having learned she needs a bone marrow transplant from a blood relative. It gets unpredictable from there, magical and melancholy in equal parts.
Public Enemies
No huge surprises if you know the history behind this tale. But look for a cameo by Governor Chet Culver as one of the FBI men. (not really, but really).
