Kings: Whole show
The best way to summarize Kings is it takes place in a modern day reality where instead of democracy, "modern" government is still active monarchy. It also lightly echoes the biblical story of king david and saul, but ignore that. The real reason to watch this sadly cancelled show is for WHO plays the king: Deadwood's Al Swearengen. The man himself, Ian McShane. He owns this show.
Full Battle Rattle
So tucked away in the Mojave desert in California is a complete, functional Iraqi town used for complex civilian-soldier interaction simulations by the army. This documentary is about this bizarre place.
Tulpan
A last minute addition. Big award winner, a movie set in the steppes of asia. Right up my alley. Kazakhstan's oscar submission, looks beautiful.
Silent Light
This is Carlos Reygada's follow-up to Battle in Heaven. Long time coming stateside. Two words - Russian Mennonites. Slowly paced, so be warned if that isn't your bag.
