We have debated for a long time what purpose and scope an online component of BPE would be. It's not settled, and so while different ideas are talked about and looked into for it to be viable, we are setting up a placeholder page with a donation button via paypal towards brick and mortar improvements to the store proper, as well as contribution buttons directed at specific, targeted categories. They focus on a few different means of helping us out in a cooperative fashion. Essentially, people sometimes donate movies. We make it clear if you do this you are entitled to rent that movie for free for life, this seems obvious to us. But we wanted to shed some light on a fraction of what we deal with en masse, and also allow people a way to be involved.One is a list of movies we have replaced so many times, that in order to ante up yet again we need customers or just anyone who believes in the film's worth to sponsor it. Some of these films we deem cursed, others just chronically unlucky.
We often get new backstock in, but the possibilities are endless while the money is not. So the second list is a small, very tiny purely sample list of a few titles that have been asked for that we could get faster with your help. One of our pet peeves is people suggesting movies for us to buy who have no intention if we did of ever renting it themselves (they've seen it, of course). We cannot get movies that won't pay for themselves via renting, and if we had a dime for everytime someone promised a billion people would rent it if we got it, we could swim in dimes like tilapia fish in the salton sea.
